Cylinder tubes H8

We supply hydraulic cylinder tubes made of E 355 to P700 mod., stainless steel and other steel grades for industry and trade.

Although Seidel Stahlrohr is one of the largest manufacturers of cylinder tubes in Europe, thanks to modern logistics and process automation, it is also possible to supply small series economically.
Our range of cylinder tubes extends from 40 to 300 mm internal diameter and a maximum length of 12,000 mm with ISO fit H8. Surface roughness Ra max. 0.20 µm. We are also happy to manufacture for you on a contract basis.

According to standard:

  • EN 10305-1

  • EN 10305-2

  • ASTM A 513

  • ASTM A 519

  • Stainless steel and in aluminum

HPS pipes

HPS tubes are welded, cold-drawn, ready-to-install cylinder tubes with a smoothed functional surface. The surface of the inner diameter is smoothed and compacted using a special drawing technique.

Properties of the HPS pipe:

  • Inner diameter tolerances from H9 – H10, depending on diameter

  • Roughness of max. 0.8 µm in the inner diameter

  • Surface on outer diameter according to DIN EN 10305-2

  • Straightness 1:1000 mm

  • Max. Eccentricity 4 %

  • Delivery condition + C according to DIN EN 10305-2

Seamless cold-drawn

HPZ and HPK pipes

Cold-drawn precision steel tubes conforming to DIN EN 10305-1 are used in cylinder and machinery manufacturing, as well as in the automotive and commercial vehicle industries.

Seamless steel tubes can be manufactured from the materials E 355 – P700 mod. and can be supplied with notched impact properties on request.

Please contact us for information on the various notch impact properties, strengths and elongations.
The stock and delivery program includes tubes with an outer diameter of 25 to 380 mm and wall thicknesses of 2 to 28.5 mm. We keep cold-drawn HPZ/HPK tubes in our versatile warehouse ready for delivery at all times.

The following glow states can be selected to suit the application:

  • SR bright annealed and stress-relieved
  • C Tensile bright-hard, only cold-drawn no additional heat treatment
  • N Bright drawn and normalized. The tubes are annealed above the upper transformation point under inert gas.
  • QT cold-drawn, tempered and quenched and tempered

  • DIN EN 10305-1 & EN 10305-2

DOM tubes

DOM tubes: For maximum concentricity

DOM pipes are produced in accordance with ASTM specification A513 or DIN EN 10305-2. This product has mechanical properties comparable to cold drawn seamless tubes of the same material analysis and dimensions. DOM tubes are characterized by excellent concentricity, dimensional accuracy and uniform wall thickness.

They are preferred in a variety of applications where the consistent wall thickness (prerequisite for concentricity) and the straightness of the bore are important.

The customer groups for DOM tubes are the automotive, truck and construction machinery industries, agricultural machinery, tools for the oil and gas industry and general mechanical engineering.

The DOM pipe is available up to an outer diameter of 304.80 mm and a maximum wall thickness of 15.88 mm.

  • Uniform wall thickness and concentricity
